Introduction

This collection of tests will import results from a Sun Nuclear IC Profiler report exported as a PDF, PRM, or PRS file. 

Measurement Summary

The analysis software provides the following PDF tests:

Beam Profile:  inline, crossline, diagonal A, and diagonal B

  • Y Axis
  • X Axis
  • Profiler PDF JSON File
  • Parameters

PRM and PRS files are also supported and provides the following tests:

  • Field Size and Beam Center
  • Light:Rad Coincidence

Note that to generate results there must be results in the report itself. 

The Filename field is used to label tables and must be present.

In particular, the data needed for the Dose profiles and the CAX Dose are often missing. Results in the highlighted section below are required for the Dose profiles and CAX Dose tests:

Additionally, we require the Beam Type and Energy in order to identify the results.

The measurements are completely automated, requiring the user only to drag and drop the image set into the web-based software interface. A detailed report is created.

Instructions

The test requires a PDF, PRM, or PRS file. Refer to the reference manual from the manufacturer for details on exporting the PDF file. It is necessary to select either "IC Profiler - PDF" or "IC Profiler - PRM" in the Type field in the upload widget to identify the files. Below is an example of selecting the image type in the upload widget:

Add files to the upload queue by drag them from a Windows Explorer folder to the drag and drop folder and release them. Alternatively, by clicking on the Add Files button to the lower right of the control, a windows file selection dialog will open, and files can be selected for upload. Under either method, multiple files may be selected for upload at once.

If the automatic upload checkbox is checked (the default), then file uploading will start immediately as files are added.

If the automatic upload button is turned off, the file upload process must be started manually by clicking the Start upload button on the lower right of the control. To clear the upload queue, click the Clear button.

Once file series have been uploaded, they will be displayed below the upload control. To remove a series from the queue, click the Cancel button beside the series. To start processing, click the Start Processing button. A description for the image series can be added at this point. Click the Edit button next to the series. Type a description for the series into the text box that appears below Description, and either click Save or press the enter key. The description can also be edited after the images have been processed. Descriptions will appear in the report with the analysis of the series.

While files are being processed, users may perform other tasks such as data entry.

Notes:  1) Profiler PDF Import test require a PDF format while Profiler PRM File Import and Profiler Profile Comparison (PRM) tests require a PRM or PRS formatted files. 2) Profiler Profile Comparison (PRM) tests require multiple files with the same energy and field size to generate results. You can see energy and field size in the files looking at these fields:

Collimator:	Left: 15 Right: 15 Top: 15 Bottom: 15 cm

Detailed Discussion of Measurements

For information on how the measurements were derived, please see the manufacturer's reference manual for the measurement device. 

The comparison charts group measurements with the same beam type, energy, and field size on the same chart. The statistics tables that accompany the charts compare measurements with the same beam type, energy, and field size against the measurement with the smallest gantry angle.
